THE MISSION OF THE ABBEY

"The Abbey of the Hills Fosters the Rediscovery of Peace."

The Abbey of the Hills is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to creating an atmosphere where people of all faiths and backgrounds can rediscover peace.   The Abbey of the Hills relies on the support of donors and volunteers to continue the tradition of peace and reflection that the monks, the founders of the Abbey, nurtured for more than sixty years.

When I came, I didn’t see the beauty in anything. I never saw my child’s death as being a blessing. I didn’t want to be alive anymore...Now as I’m ready to leave the Abbey, I thank God for sending me here to find peace...
